What is Flixonase?

Flixonase Hayfever & Allergy is used to prevent and treat seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children aged 12 years and over.

What is allergic rhinitis?

Allergic rhinitis is more commonly known as “nasal allergies” or “hayfever”.
When you have rhinitis, the inside of your nose becomes swollen and itchy because of an overreaction to a normally harmless substance.

There are two types of allergic rhinitis; seasonal and perennial.

Seasonal allergic rhinitis sufferers usually experience symptoms in spring due to an allergy to pollen and grasses.

Perennial allergic rhinitis sufferers can experience symptoms all year round and may be allergic to pollen, grasses, dust mites, mould spores or animals such as cats or dogs.

How does Flixonase work?

Intranasal corticosteroid sprays (or INCS), such as Flixonase Hayfever & Allergy, work by preventing the release of inflammatory chemicals, which cause the symptoms of nasal allergies & hayfever.

Flixonase provides relief from all the major symptoms of nasal allergies & hayfever including:

  • Sneezing
  • Itchy and runny nose
  • Eye symptoms
  • Nasal congestion

Flixonase Hayfever & Allergy is New Zealand’s number one* nasal spray for hayfever and allergies. When taken as directed, Flixonase provides effective relief from all the major symptoms of airborne allergies, including hayfever.  Flixonase offers more complete symptom control than antihistamines, particularly for nasal congestion.

When first used, Flixonase may take up to 12 hours to provide relief from allergy symptoms but, with ongoing daily use, Flixonase can actually prevent
allergies from reoccurring.
